Adventure Sports Unlimited (ASU) is an aquatics center that teaches people the fun to play in water. We bring people together, teach them to the best of their abilities, outfit them with gear to fit their potential, arrange adventures to use their new skills, and eat well. It seems only appropriate that when you have a bunch of adventure enthusiasts together at an exotic aquatic environment, after a day of SCUBA diving, that a bit of seafood foraging will result in a wonderful gourmet meal to toast the day.

Family Camp is an opportunity to connect with your loved ones on a spectacular mountain ranch filled with natural wonders and exciting new experiences.
Picture this… your whole family on a beautiful mountain ranch for a fun-filled week of horseback riding, pig slopping, egg gathering, art making, taffy pulling, square dancing, and kicking back on the beach next to our river. Leave your cell phone at home, it won’t work here anyway, and leave the cooking (and cleaning) to us while you and your kids enjoy meals prepared with food that is grown or raised on the Ranch.
Want to join us? See our Dates & Rates page for more information or enroll for Family Camp.
We have tons of summer camp activities for you to enjoy at the ranch, you can take a trail ride with your family, help press apples into cider, learn to weld in our metal shop, and so much more. Our experienced summer camp counselors lead a variety of activities each morning, including childcare activities for kids ages 2-7. You are welcome to participate in any activities offered, explore the ranch on your own, or just relax with your family and friends.
There are many wonderful benefits of living and camping on a remote mountain ranch, surrounded by forests, streams, blue skies, and bright sunshine… but cell phone coverage and lightning-fast internet are not among them! There is no cell phone service or guest wi-fi available here on the ranch, and we invite you to disconnect for your week at family camp.

Community Music School hosts workshops, concerts, and summer camps for musicians ages seven and up; maintains a free database of local music teachers; places donated musical instruments with people or organizations who need them; and publishes a free monthly e-newsletter that lists upcoming concerts and music-related events.
Each summer, Community Music School hosts Celtic music camps for musicians of all ages. Our camps are staffed by teachers and teaching assistants (TAs) specializing in traditional folk music from the Celtic diaspora and beyond. Each camp ends with a concert open to family and friends.
Our Teen Camp is a week-long overnight camp that takes place every June at Monte Toyon in Aptos. This unique residential program places teenage musicians (ages 12-18) in a beautiful outdoor setting with great instructors. Teens learn to play Celtic folk music, but more importantly, they spend a week with other teen musicians in a supportive environment, and with a strong sense of community. Students practice and perform in instrument-specific groups, in small bands, and with the entire camp. Other activities include vocal training, Scottish dance, movie night, a barn dance, crafts, a talent show, and lots of jamming!
Our Kid Camp is a two-week day camp that starts in mid-July, and takes place at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Scotts Valley. Children learn to play Celtic folk music in a small and supportive environment. They also learn to make their own bamboo flute, and have plenty of play time! Students practice and perform in instrument-specific groups, and with the entire camp.
All of our camps are for players of fiddle, flute, penny whistle, recorder, clarinet, harp, autoharp, guitar, mandolin, dulcimer, accordion, keyboards, percussion, Irish tenor banjo, and cello. Campers should be proficient on one of these instruments, with a suggested minimum training time of two years.
