Youth Action Network Pop-up Event

Wednesday, April 27, 2 – 5pm

The Youth Action Network is excited to announce that they are hosting a series of Youth Action Network Pop-Up Events throughout the county this Spring and Summer. The first pop-up event will be at Laurel Park in Santa Cruz in partnership with the Teen Center and London Nelson on April 27th from 2:00-5:00 pm.

The YAN Steering Committee Team is creating a new, fun, and meaningful way to bring everyone in the network, youth, and community members together. The goal for the pop-up event is to connect youth 11-21 to youth programs, resources, and local leaders through games, activities, food, and fun!

YAN Steering Committee Members Role: 
●Plan and design Youth Action Network Activities: Quarterly Meetings, Trainings & Workshops
● Connect and collaborate with other youth, local officials, community leaders, and youth programs from across the county.
● Have the opportunity to conduct youth-participatory action research with UCSC students on emerging community needs.

Commitment:
● 1 year school year
● YAN Retreat/Orientation in September or October
● Monthly Meetings, Additional 1:1’s with program staff & other related tasks
● Quarterly Network Meetings
● Occasional Capacity Building Trainings/Workshops with Network Partners & General Members
