White Sky, Falling Dragon

Thursday, September 1 at 7:30 p.m.
Friday, September 2 at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, September 3 at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, September 4 at 3 p.m.

Presented by Soaring Dragon Endeavors

After his WWII service as a bombardier, a young Chinese American man must come to terms with tragedy on his last mission before he can fully return home. His Chinese family obligations clash with his search for a path to his future, and the way forward depends on a secret.

This performance is 2 hours and 15 minutes long with one 15 minute intermission. It is appropriate for ages 12 and above due to mature subject matter, including war and combat.

MASKS are required for this event. Please see our COVID Information Page HERE.

If you are looking for a wonderful theater experience from a local playwright and beloved WHS teacher, I highly recommend purchasing tickets to White Sky, Falling Dragon, written and produced by Steve “Spike” Wong (born and raised in Watsonville).
This play is set in our own little town of Watsonville! Spike Wong wrote this play based on his father’s experience in WW2. It is a play that explores family, culture, forgiveness, love, grief, and acceptance. It is beautifully done. There are six more opportunities to see the play in Mountain View in a very cozy theater where there are no bad seats. The theater is located on Castro Street, which has tons of wonderful restaurants and beer gardens with outdoor dining. We arrived at 5pm and had a leisurely meal with great beer and then saw the show at 7:30pm. Easy free parking too. I highly recommend supporting this local playwright!!
