Santa Cruz SPCA PAWS for Juniors Program Tier 2
Wednesdays 4-6, September 10-24; October 8-22; November 5-19; December 3-17
Junior PAWS Tier 2, for returning juniors 7-9 years old, builds upon the children’s knowledge and skills about animals in PAWS Tier 1. Prerequisite: At least one or more of PAWS 1 sessions completed.
It runs for three weeks and refines the children’s animal handling skills.
The program establishes the children’s awareness of the Five Freedoms of Animal Welfare and engages students in stories of animal rescues.
Participants play games about animal welfare, train dogs, walk dogs and make enrichments for the dogs and cats.
They also create adoption posters to be displayed on the animals’ kennel doors.
Register now for animal snuggles!
