Santa Cruz SPCA Junior PAWS Program Tier 2 (Promoting Animal Welfare with Students)
Wednesdays 4-6pm, September 11, 18, 25
The PAWS Tier 2 Program at the Santa Cruz SPCA engages students in respecting and responding to the needs of our shelter animals through learning, play and training.
The children help socialize the animals and learn to adjust their interactions with them based on behavioral cues and body language.
Students will learn from the Five freedoms of Animal Welfare, stories, discussion and hands-on work with the cats and dogs.
This rewarding and engaging program runs once a week after school for three weeks.
