Join Dror’s engaging presentation, “Rhythms from Around the World,” to explore diverse percussion instruments from the Middle East to West Africa, including the Bendir, Riq, Doumbek, and Djembe.

Dror’s presentation on “Rhythms from Around the World” is an engaging , educational and entertaining experience that provides insight into the diverse cultural traditions of percussion instruments and their origins.
The lecture/performance covers a wide range of percussion instruments, including the frame drums of the Middle East, Bendir of Morocco, Riq, Doumbek, and Tabla of Egypt, Djembe of West Africa, and shakers and rattles, Congas, Bongos, Cajon. Dror will introduce each instrument and provide information about the cultural contexts in which they are used and the materials from which they are made.
One of the highlights of the presentation will be the demonstration of traditional rhythms and songs associated with each instrument. This method showcases the instruments’ unique sounds and techniques while highlighting their cultural significance evolution over time.
Dror has presented “Rhythms from Around the World” at Universities, Schools, and Communities. Registration is encouraged and walk-ins are welcome.
