This is fall bird migration time. Want to learn more about our area’s resident and migratory birds? There are a couple of fun, free events coming up this month.
On Saturday, September 24th, the Freedom Branch Library will host their Mini Bird Fest from 11am-1pm. The event includes fun and educational activities like dissecting an owl pellet and making a bird feeder craft. Come out and say hi to our Education staff!
Nature Extravaganza
Saturday, October 1, 12:30 – 6:30pm
The following weekend, come out and meet our new cohort of Wetland Stewards! They will be doing outreach and educational activities at the Monterey Bay Festival of Birds’ FREE Nature Extravaganza coming up Saturday, October 1st from 12:30 pm – 6:30 pm at the Ramsay Park Picnic Area, 1301 Main Street, Watsonville.
