Join State Parks for the 39th annual Migration Festival on Valentine’s Day, Saturday, Feb. 14. The event will feature more than 30 local organizations offering hands-on booths showcasing the many animals that migrate to and through Monterey Bay. Visitors can see live animals, collect passport stamps at each table, enjoy food for sale, and explore arts and crafts.
Festival activities include talks about sharks, whales and other migratory species, as well as live music by the Wave Tones, featuring Patti Maxine, and the park’s own 5M’s Band (Mostly Mediocre Musical Monarch Mariposas). The event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., concluding with a migration skit and free cake.
Parking is $10 and helps Friends of Santa Cruz State Parks support local state parks and beaches.
