Parking Lot ‘Make & Take’
Lenz Arts, the family-owned art supply store in Santa Cruz, will be celebrating its 57th Anniversary with a special event on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the corner of River Street and North Pacific Avenue.
From 11am to 3pm, the parking lot event will feature art material demonstrations, face-painting, hands-on ‘make and take’ projects, free samples, and prizes.
Visitors can also expect “crazy sales” all day.
Lenz Arts has been a staple in the Santa Cruz community since its founding in 1968 by Andy and Cynthia Lenz. The business started in the couple’s apartment before moving to a 900-square-foot storefront on Pacific Avenue in 1969, and finally to its current 10,000-square-foot location at 142 River Street in 1972. The store has been recognized multiple times, including being voted “Best Art Supply Store” and “Best Picture Framing” in and Editors Choice in local awards.
