Since 1985, people in the United States have celebrated Park and Recreation Month in July to promote building strong, vibrant, and resilient communities through the power of parks and recreation.
The City of Santa Cruz Parks and Recreation Department has planned a variety of free events throughout the month of July!

Friday, July 7, 1 – 3pm Cheer Little Guards in The Big Swim
Saturday July 8, 9 – 12pm Archery/Info Demo Day, Delaveaga Park
Free Swing Dancing at the Santa Cruz Wharf Stage, 2 – 5pm
Tuesday July 11, 9:30 – 11:30am, San Lorenzo River Walk
Live Concert with the Joint Chiefs, SC Wharf Stage 6 – 8pm
Thursday July 13, 9:30 – 11:30am, Guided San Lorenzo River Walk
Friday, July 14, Backstage Civic Auditorium Tour
Teen Glow in the Dark Beach Party – 10pm Main Beach
