Join CZU Lightning Complex and Community Science Project
Curious about the impacts of the CZU Lightning Complex on our wildlands and neighborhoods? Interested in contributing to our understanding? Want to learn more about our local flora
We’re excited to launch the CZU Lightning Complex and Community Science Project — a long-term, volunteer driven, community science monitoring project to collect biodiversity data for broad use from areas impacted by the CZU Lightning Complex of August 2020.
This program was developed by the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History, in partnership with the California Native Plant Society and the Kenneth S. Norris Center for Natural History.
Join us March 25, 8:30-9:30am, for our first set of community science trainings (online and in-person) led by CNPS’s Amy Patten, Rare Plants and Community Science in the CZU Burn Zone with Amy Patten (Online).
