Wednesday, November 17, 4 – 5:30pm
The Santa Cruz County Office of Education invites students to attend our Create Video Games TechShop. The event will be held virtually on Wednesday, November 17th, 2022 from 4:00-5:30 pm and is designed for students in third through eighth grade.
The TechShop is being hosted in collaboration with TechGirlz, a non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire girls to explore the possibilities of technology to empower their future careers. The event is also part of a countywide effort to promote computer science.
During the session, students will learn how to create video games using the block-based Scratch visual programming system. They will learn what coding is all about, have fun exercising their imagination and gain skills by writing code to make their games work! No prior experience with Scratch or coding is necesary.
We encourage anyone interested to join us for this FREE event!
