Forest Nights – Watercolor Painting

Paint a stunning midnight sky and a golden moon, buttressed with redwood tree silhouettes.

Local artist Sarah Orre will walk you through every step of the process using watercolor and acrylic metallic paint to achieve stunning results.
You will learn how to build color with a layered ombre watercolor wash and how to paint trees with a fan brush. Metallic paint will give a glowing finish to your painting. All materials provided with a $10 materials fee payable to the instructor at the start of class.

Class size is limited, registration required. Class meets outside at Picnic Area 1 in Henry Cowell. Beginners welcome! Those who register will receive more detailed information and instructions via email.

Sarah Orre is a local artist and painting instructor who serves as the Youth Art Director at the Santa Cruz Mountains Art Center where she teaches adult and youth classes. Sarah grew up in the San Lorenzo Valley and her artwork is inspired by Santa Cruz Mountain landscapes. From the gorgeous California coast to the majestic redwood forests, there is endless inspiration to draw upon. Sarah’s passion for art comes through in her paintings and in her enthusiasm for inspiring others to learn and grow.
