DIY Fashion Design Summer Camp at Montalvo
Monday-Friday 9am – 4pm, June 9 – 13
Get ready to learn about upcycling and visible mending your wardrobe with stylish practices.
From stuffies, pillows, patches, colors, and quilts, aspiring designers will learn how to sew and customize their cloths and toys in this one-week camp. Projects include embroidery, appliqué, quilting, and collage; we’ll work with vintage and second-hand materials, allowing campers to get creative and explore their ideas in novel, sustainable ways.
Designers will showcase their final textile creations and inspirations for friends and family on Friday, June 13.
All necessary sewing materials and supplies are included with the camp fee. As a part of their Montalvo Arts Center experience, all summer campers will have the opportunity to explore and learn about the native plants and animals around the property and its Santa Clara County Park trails.
