Confronting Climate Change Conference

The introduction of Strange Weather, a new exhibition will be held at downtown Santa Cruz’s hub for community creativity, the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History.

The UC Santa Cruz Institute of Arts & Sciences is sponsoring the show, Strange Weather: Contemporary Art from the Collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and His Family Foundation. This exhibition is part of the eighth annual Confronting Climate Change Conference at UC Santa Cruz, and will bring together works by artists from the 20th and 21st centuries who reframe and illuminate the boundaries of bodies and the environment.

The free three-day conference will focus on the impacts of climate change on Santa Cruz County and the people who live, work, and play here.
