FreeCastro Adobe Open House
Saturday, May 18, 10:30am-3:30pm
Hurray for May flowers! Plants were important on the rancho in the 1800s as food, tools, construction materials, and more.
Can you guess which one of these was sometimes eaten by both people and their livestock: redwood trees, cactus, or tule grass? The other two plants had important uses on the Castro Adobe too!
Join us at Castro Adobe’s Open House on Saturday, May 18th from 10:30am to 3:30pm and discover the answer while learning how the people of Alta California used the natural world around them. Listen to live music and enjoy our newly installed interpretive displays.
For more information, call (831) 226-9669.
The park is located at 184 Old Adobe Road, Watsonville.
Event made possible by Friends of Santa Cruz State Parks and California State Parks.
