Breast Milk Donation Drive
Friday, May 1, 12 – 2pm
This May, Santa Cruz is joining California Human Milk Donation Month, a statewide effort to make sure medically fragile babies have access to the nourishment they need most, human milk.
On May 1, a local milk drive will bring the community together to support infants in NICUs and families who rely on donor milk when a mother’s own milk is not available.
If you have extra frozen breast milk, we invite you to stop by and donate. Your milk can help protect the smallest and most vulnerable babies, supporting their growth, development, and recovery.
Sutter Maternity and Surgery Center, 2900 Chanticleer Ave, Santa Cruz
No appointment is needed, just bring your frozen milk.
To meet donation guidelines, milk must be expressed within the last 9 months, and a minimum of 100 ounces is required.
Not sure if you qualify to donate? You can get started with a quick pre-screening ahead of time:

If you’re not able to attend, there are still ways to help. Sharing this event or learning about milk donation helps ensure more babies have access to lifesaving nutrition.
Every ounce donated helps give a fragile baby a stronger start.
