UC Santa Cruz invites the community to the 42nd Annual Martin Luther King Jr.

Memorial Convocation on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at the Civic Auditorium in downtown Santa Cruz. The event honors Dr. King’s legacy while lifting up ongoing struggles for equity, justice, and freedom.

All students, educators, and community members are invited to join this evening of reflection, unity, and celebration.

This year’s keynote features Larry McDonald, the legendary reggae percussionist.
