Latino dance group, ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ฌ ๐๐ ๐๐ฌ๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐ณ๐ with colorful costumes will bring the spirit of the day to life.
Local musicians Bob and Denise Gomez and soloist Chris Vinson will entertain you in the garden where local artists showcase their works inspired by this vibrant tradition.
Dรญa de los Muertos is a time to honor and remember loved ones who have passed onโa tradition rooted in Indigenous and Catholic practices that continues to thrive in Mexican culture.
At the Castro Adobe, this day holds a deep connection: the ๐๐๐ง๐๐ก๐จ ๐๐๐ง ๐๐ง๐๐ซ๐ฬ๐ฌ was home to the Castro family during the Mexican Rancho era.
Like families across California then and now, the Castros would have observed Catholic holy days and community traditions that honored both the living and the dead.
