UC Santa Cruz offers beginning through advanced sailing and rowing instruction to all skill levels ages 8 and up! We also offer summer programs specifically for youth 8-16.
UCSC Community Boating Center is a community-based boating program that connects students and community members with Monterey Bay through sailing and rowing.
Our staff and experienced participants share their knowledge of equipment, skill development, and water safety to help others build confidence on the water. At its core, our program is about connection—bringing together people of all experience levels in a supportive environment to learn, grow, and enjoy time on the water.
We offer club memberships for Community Members, which provides access to our fleet during club hours, along with adult and youth classes and community events such as regattas.
Whether you are stepping onto a boat for the first time or building on past experience, we offer programs for all levels, including junior summer camps, adult community classes, and quarterly physical education courses for UCSC students.
