Don’t miss Rancho Day at the Adobe! The Monterey County Historical Society is honored to serve as a local host for this fun 2023 Doors Open California community event.

Join us for a day of historical re-enactment – live demonstrations of blacksmithing and cowboy roping. Other highlights include David Ford playing the historical (c.1880) Ignacio Boronda violin, dancing Charro Horses arts and crafts, and our continuing tradition of having ambassadors present from various historical and cultural institutions coming to us from parts far and wide throughout our region.
A Chuckwagon Barbecue will be served from 11:30am-2:00pm featuring local foods from the Salinas Valley.
Food Cost: $15.00 for the Barbecue and $20 for the Tri Trip
Menu includes Cowboy Chili Choice of “Beef and Beans” or “Veggie” with Cheddar cheese, chopped green onion, cilantro, sour cream and crouton garnish; Salinas Valley Green Salad Local greens with onions, tomatoes, Cheddar cheese and croutons; Pasta Salad Pasta mixed with bell pepper, tomato, onion, parsley, and basil with Italian dressing; Corn Muffin or Roll; Beverage Dessert-Fresh Fruit Salad and baked goods; Water or soda Beer/Wine for sale.
