Taste over 70 varieties of locally grown apples at our MBCRFG apple tasting, now 30+ years running and one of the most extensive in the world.
It’s fun to explore some of the immense breadth of this crop, and this is also a great opportunity to discover what varieties might wanna plant yourself, or propagate using material from our scion exchange in January.
This year, the Monterey Bay Chapter of the California Rare Fruit Growers’ Apple Tasting will be held jointly with the Santa Cruz Live Oak Grange Fall Festival and 3rd Annual Pie Contest! We will have over 70 varieties of heritage and rare apples for participants to sample and rate. Join us as we celebrate Fall on the Central Coast!
