Anime Your Way Workshop with Artist Carlos Nieto III

Calling All Young Anime Enthusiasts! Join us for a free “Anime Your Way” drawing workshop.
Welcome former Simpsons and King of the Hill artist Carlos Nieto III to the Aptos Branch Library. Nieto III will teach a comprehensive, step-by-step program in which participants create and modify an anime character from scratch. Anime is a type of art that originated in Japan and is often adapted from Japanese comics called “manga.”
Learn how to create your own anime character from scratch from former Simpson’s artist, Carlos Nieto III, in a fun and easy step-by-step process. No experience necessary!
Using simple shapes and easy to understand instructions, participants will gain the knowledge to create their very own unique anime characters.
Open to artists of all abilities, ages 12-18. Space is limited.
