Woodies on the Wharf Celebrates 30th Anniversary: Iconic Santa Cruz Event Returns June 27, 2026
Saturday, June 27, 10am-4pm ~ 3:30pm: Parade off the Wharf
In collaboration with the Santa Cruz Woodies Club, the City of Santa Cruz Parks and Recreation Department proudly announces the return of the beloved Woodies on the Wharf event, celebrating its 30th anniversary on Saturday, June 27, at the iconic Santa Cruz Wharf.
This milestone event commemorates three decades of classic coastal nostalgia, community spirit, and summer fun in Santa Cruz. Attendees can stroll the Wharf to admire an impressive collection of beautifully restored classic wood-bodied vehicles, enjoy live entertainment, shop and dine at local Wharf businesses, and participate in family-friendly activities throughout the day.
Highlights this year include live hula performances on the Commons Stage at 11:30am and 1:30pm, exciting raffle prizes, and the always-popular Woodie Parade following the afternoon awards ceremony.
New for 2026 is a bingo card scavenger hunt for kids 12 and under, running from 11am to 1pm. Admission is free. Whether you’re a longtime Woodie enthusiast or a first-time attendee, this event offers a unique Santa Cruz tradition that officially launches the summer season.
Parking will be limited during the event, so attendees are strongly encouraged to use alternative transportation. Visitors are invited to walk, bike, get dropped off, or take public transit to the Wharf. Free bike valet service will be available behind Santa Cruz Boat Rentals for convenient and secure parking. The Santa Cruzer Shuttle will run from 9am to 5pm, with $1 rides and convenient stops at Del Mar, Locust St. Garage, and the Marine Sanctuary Exploration Center. Parking is recommended at the Locust St. Garage for easy shuttle access.
Don’t miss a Santa Cruz classic tradition! Celebrate 30 years of Woodies on the Wharf with us on June 27.
One of the highlights of the day is the Woodie Parade off the Wharf which begins promptly at 3:30 p.m. after the Awards Ceremony. A police escort will ensure that traffic is stopped to allow for a return to the Host Hotel.
