Join us on Saturday, June 6, 1-4pm for a special book-to-movie event celebrating Maggie O’Farrell’s beloved novel Hamnet — and its newly released film adaptation, complete with popcorn.
Afterward, Logan Walker — Director of Programming for the Santa Cruz Film Festival and a lecturer in film studies at UCSC and San José State University — will lead a post-film discussion.
You may want to read the novel before joining us for a screening of the film adaptation on June 6 (PG-13). If you want to borrow the book from the library, several copies can be found on the Friends shelves near the self checkout area.
After the screening, there will be a post-film discussion by Logan Walker, Director of Programming for the Santa Cruz Film Festival and lecturer in film studies at UC Santa Cruz and San José State University.
Everyone is welcome to attend the movie, enjoy some popcorn, and join the discussion, even if you haven’t had time to read the book.
