Event Agenda – Step into a day of inspiration, collaboration, and action, designed to uplift children, youth, and the community that supports them! Space is limited and lunch is included.

March 5, 10am – 4pm

10:00 – 10:30 a.m. | Breakfast & Resource Tabling

  • Connect & explore: Start the day with a light breakfast and browse resource tables from local organizations.

10:30 – 10:50 a.m. | Welcome & Opening Remarks

  • Learn about the role of the Children’s Network and how it connects to the Wellbeing Cabinet.

10:50 – 11:00 a.m. | Youth Voices

  • Spoken word performance by a young artist, highlighting belonging, care, and community strength.

11:00 – 11:45 a.m. | Opening Panel: Centering the Children & Youth Bill of Rights

  • Discussion on how CYBOR guides collaboration across systems, including Q&A and reflections.

11:45 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | Creating a “NETwork” Activity & Transition to Breakouts

  • Interactive activity to connect participants and foster collaboration.

12:00 – 12:50 p.m. | Hands-On Breakout Sessions

  • Youth Integrated Care: Innovative approaches to mental and behavioral health, prevention, early intervention, and coordinated supports.
  • Expanding Youth Leadership Pathways: Building meaningful youth-adult partnerships, empowering youth voices, and creating opportunities for youth to shape policies and programs.
  • Youth Prevention & Diversion: Programs offering supportive pathways, early intervention, and alternatives to keep youth engaged and thriving.
  • The Future of Prevention. Funding and Sustainability: Strategies to strengthen family stability, improve child welfare outcomes, and promote long-term youth well-being.

  • Connect with peers and explore resource tables.
  • United4Community – 211 Resource Referral Spotlight: Brief presentation on connecting families and youth to local supports.

1:30 – 2:15 p.m. | Shifting from Mandated Reporting to Community Support

  • Explore approaches to supporting youth beyond mandated reporting requirements.

2:15 – 2:30 p.m. | Dance Performance Break

  • Celebrate community through a folklorico performance.

2:30 – 3:15 p.m. | Cross-Sector Panel: Youth and the Current Moment

  • Leaders from education, health, government, and youth-serving organizations discuss emerging challenges and opportunities for youth.

3:15 – 3:45 p.m. | United for Youth: Gallery Walk & Commitments

  • Walk through youth-led displays, reflect on youth perspectives, and add contributions to the Children & Youth Bill of Rights.

3:45 – 4:00 p.m. | Closing Reflections, Call to Action & Feedback

  • Youth leader and community partner share reflections to close the day, reinforcing collaboration, community care, and collective responsibility for children and youth
