Kicking off the celebration week with a HUGE Birthday Bash at Skypark!
Join us for a day filled with fun, local history, great memories, and nostalgic 60’s vibes as we celebrate 60 amazing years of Scotts Valley
August 2, 10:30am – The festivities kick off at Skypark with a full day of activities including community storytelling, family-friendly entertainment, food trucks and music. Aspart of the celebration, we invite community members to participate in our “Share Your Story” program, highlighting personal experiences and memories from the past six decades.
August 3 – The celebration week continues with Coffee with Legends at the Scotts Valley Senior Center, offering a special opportunity for past City Council members, founders, and community leaders to connect, reflect and share their stories in a more intimate setting.
August 4 – Festivities continue with National Night Out at MacDorsa Park.
August 5 – Let’sGo Hiking at Glenwood Preserve (Lodato Trail).
August 6 – Students are encouraged to show their school spirit during I Love My School across Scotts Valley schools.

As part of our 60th Birthday Bash, we’re looking for community members to take the stage and share their personal stories! Whether it’s growing up in Scotts Valley, a meaningful life moment, or a favorite memory that captures the spirit of our town—we want to hear it. Selected participants will have the opportunity to share a 3–5 minute story during the event and help bring our community’s history to life.
