Nature Club

Nature Club
February 21, March 28, April 25, May 16
Our next session of Nature Club is currently enrolling and we’re kicking off the season with Finding Fungus on 2/21!
Nature Club takes young explorers, 6th-8th grade, into local habitats to learn about the amazing living world around us while making discoveries along the way.
Club Members join us for seasonal Saturday meetups where we venture into local habitats—from rocky tidepools to forested trails—to uncover the biodiversity in our own backyard.
Upcoming Adventures
Join us at Pogonip Open Space as we explore the Spring Box Trail in search of fungi! During this Nature Club outing, we’ll learn to identify local species, uncover the vital roles fungi play in ecosystems, and sharpen our observation skills along the way.
Guided by Education Specialist Chris Soriano, club members are encouraged to learn new skills while building meaningful connections with nature, themselves, and their community.
For a one-time payment of $100, explorers can join four adventures throughout the season.
- Finding Fungus – February 21
- Tidepooling and Nature Journaling – March 28
- Salamander Search – April 25
- Wildflower Walk – May 1
