Semillas to Sunflowers!
Four one week sessions beginning July 1, 8 am-2pm
Semillas to Sunflowers’ free program is open for families with kids that go to one of the Elementary Schools in PVUSD. Cost: $0
For kids that are going into 3rd grade, 4th grade, or 5th grade during the 2024-2025 school year.
5 (1 week long) sessions:
Session 1: July 1st- 5th (no program July 4th
Session 2: July 8th- 12th
Session 3: July 15th-19th
Session 4: July 22nd-26th
Session 5: July 29th- August 2nd
Semillas to Sunflowers is now accepting applications!
Please fill out one application per child.
If accepted, we will let you know within 2-3 weeks of your application which week-long Session you are awarded.
Location: Semillas to Sunflowers takes place at the Life Lab Blooming Classroom, located off of San Andreas Road near Watsonville.
The program takes place at 198 Zils Road Watsonville
Schedule:
The program runs from 8am to 2pm. Child Drop-off at site: 8:30am
We have optional additional enrichment activities from 2:30-4pm and 4pm-5:30pm.
Please sign up for your pick up time, this will be the same time throughout the whole week:2:30pm (end of camp day), 4pm or 5:30pm (end of enrichment activities)
Provided: Breakfast, Snacks, Lunch
Sample Activities: Bird day – engineer bird beaks;Harvest fruits and vegetables to make snacks; Garden gifts day – use a solar oven to make pesto bread; Art in the garden – make nature art; Visit the UCSC Campus and meet college students
