Jug band music originated in the 1910-1920s\, south of the Mason Dixon line\, and was played both informally and by professional bands in a wide range of settings\, from street corners to the Kentucky Derby. The recordings made of popular jug and washboard bands before World War II now have become the cannon of the genre. \nIn the late 1950s there was a revival of interest in those songs that spawned a jug band revival providing number one hits for rock and roll supergroups. Today the term refers both to bands that play those songs and also to bands that play modern popular songs using jugs and other homemade instruments. Locations vary around town\, (shuttle usually available if needed.) Camps are always in nature and focus on a majority of kid initiated activities and play as well as some open ended structered art\, games and mindfulness. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFees: $77 per child per day or $375 per child per week.  \nAdventure Summer Camps will normally be at these locations. DESCRIPTION:Postpartum Support International\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNEW SUPPORT GROUP!\n\n\n\nPostpartum Psychosis (PPP) is rare. It occurs in approximately 1 to 2 out of every 1\,000 deliveries.  After a PPP survivor’s symptoms have been stabilized\, peer support can be an important tool for recovery. Because PPP occurs less often than other perinatal mood disorders\, survivors can go their whole lives without meeting another PPP survivor.  In response\, PSI has created an online peer-to-peer support group for PPP survivors. Ceramics for Everyone is a fun\, flexible workshop series where participants can join us for a single session or come back again and again. Each class features a guided hand building project designed to spark imagination and creativity—no experience needed. \nWorkshops rotate throughout the summer\, with early sessions focused on playful pinch pot and bobblehead creations\, and later sessions exploring expressive faces and whimsical fairy doors. Every class offers a fresh opportunity to create something unique\, making it perfect for families\, friends\, or anyone looking to try something new. \nAll materials\, glazing\, and firing are included. Projects will be glazed during the session and fired afterward—we’ll notify you as soon as your piece is ready for pickup. \nAll ages are welcome\, so bring the whole family! (Children under 10 must be accompanied by a participating adult.)
