DESCRIPTION:Watsonville Community Band Concerts\nJuly 4th – See you at the Aptos 10am\, and Watsonville 12:30pm Parades! \nJoin us for our community band concerts! \n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Watsonville Community Band is a non-profit public benefit corporation comprised of all volunteers. We are organized for the specific purpose of providing members the opportunity to play music\, both for their enjoyment and education\, and the entertainment of our community. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe are located in the beautiful town of Watsonville\, California. This is the heart of the Californian vegetable and fruit growing area within the fertile Salinas Valley and Pajaro Valley. Apples\, strawberries\, artichokes\, and many other crops thrive in our temperate climate. Ocean beaches on the Monterey Bay are close and the tourist centers of Monterey\, Carmel\, and Santa Cruz are a short drive away. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Watsonville Community Band is one of the few adult community bands in the United States which performs on a regular basis: marching and concert\, with all performances free to the public. \nWe encourage everyone to support music programs in our schools. Music education enriches all lives. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Band has appeared in almost every major parade on the West Coast. It has played at fairs\, parks\, hospitals\, festivals and several televised concerts. \nIn the past 70 years the Band has given more than 1\,500 public performances and amassed 325 First Place Awards out of the 337 times in parade competitions. \nhttps://www.watsonvilleband.org/index.html
