DESCRIPTION:Attend A SafeTALK Workshop\nNovvember 8\, 9am – 1pm  and Dec.ember 8\, 10am – 2pm \nAttend a free safeTALK workshop on recognizing the warning signs of suicide.  \nSafeTALK \, or Suicide Alertness for Everyone\, is a 4-hour training that provides training in suicide alertness\, equipping participants with the knowledge to recognize when a person might be having thoughts of suicide and how to discuss suicide amongst further skills. Upcoming trainings are 9 a.m-1 p.m. Nov. 8 and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Dec. 8 at the Santa Cruz COE. \nLivingWorks safeTALK is a four-hour face-to-face workshop featuring powerful presentations\, audiovisuals\, and skills practice.\nAt a LivingWorks safeTALK workshop\, you’ll learn how to prevent suicide by recognizing signs\, engaging someone\, and connecting them to an intervention resource for further support. \nCost: Free* Register \nIf you are interested and available for this training\, please complete the following short registration request and a trainer will be in touch with you shortly to confirm your registration and provide information on next steps!  Applications will be processed on a first come\, first served basis. DESCRIPTION:Free Techshop with Techgirlz\n\n\n\n\nWednesday\, November 17\, 4 – 5:30pm \nThe Santa Cruz County Office of Education invites students to attend our Create Video Games TechShop.  The event will be held virtually on Wednesday\, November 17th\, 2022 from 4:00-5:30 pm and is designed for students in third through eighth grade. \nThe TechShop is being hosted in collaboration with TechGirlz\, a non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire girls to explore the possibilities of technology to empower their future careers. The event is also part of a countywide effort to promote computer science. \nDuring the session\, students will learn how to create video games using the block-based Scratch visual programming system.  They will learn what coding is all about\, have fun exercising their imagination and gain skills by writing code to make their games work!  No prior experience with Scratch or coding is necesary. \nWe encourage anyone interested to join us for this FREE event! \nRegistration\nPlease visit this registration form to sign up for this opportunity. DESCRIPTION:Attend A SafeTALK Workshop\nNovvember 8\, 9am – 1pm  and Dec.ember 8\, 10am – 2pm \nAttend a free safeTALK workshop on recognizing the warning signs of suicide.  \nSafeTALK \, or Suicide Alertness for Everyone\, is a 4-hour training that provides training in suicide alertness\, equipping participants with the knowledge to recognize when a person might be having thoughts of suicide and how to discuss suicide amongst further skills. Upcoming trainings are 9 a.m-1 p.m. Nov. 8 and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Dec. 8 at the Santa Cruz COE. \nLivingWorks safeTALK is a four-hour face-to-face workshop featuring powerful presentations\, audiovisuals\, and skills practice.\nAt a LivingWorks safeTALK workshop\, you’ll learn how to prevent suicide by recognizing signs\, engaging someone\, and connecting them to an intervention resource for further support. \nCost: Free* Register \nIf you are interested and available for this training\, please complete the following short registration request and a trainer will be in touch with you shortly to confirm your registration and provide information on next steps!  Applications will be processed on a first come\, first served basis.
