DESCRIPTION:Rancho del Oso Appreciation Day\nSaturday\, August 9\, 10am through the afternoon \nRancho del Oso staff and the Waddell Creek Association invites you\, nature lovers\, art appreciators and history enthusiasts\, to attend our very first Hulda Hoover McLean Appreciation Day at the RDO Nature and History Center. \nWe are thrilled to honor Hulda\, who was the writer\, artist\, naturalist and civic leader whose former home has been the RDO Nature and History Center for 40 years. In the spirit of Hulda\, we invite you to come celebrate art\, nature and history in the Waddell Canyon.\n \nHere is the itinerary for the day: \n10am – The Nature and History Center will open. Enjoy the exhibits and meet the State Park staff and board members of the Waddell Creek Association.\n11am – Diane West-Bourke will speak about her time as a naturalist interpreter at Rancho del Oso and share stories/memories of Hulda Hoover McLean\n1pm –  Watercolor Workshop led by Erika Perloff\n1pm – Interactive guided interpretive walk “Through Hulda’s Eyes\,” led by Diane West-Bourke\n3pm – Nature Journaling Workshop led by State Park Interpreter Leslie Reyes\nSpace is limited for the afternoon watercolor and journaling workshops. Please pre-register here for these activities if you’d like to join. Just select the time under the event and it will take you to the sign-up page. \nIf you need more information or have questions please email ranchodeloso@ports-ca.us \nWe encourage you to come for all or any part of the day.
