Sutter care centers have local support groups to help you and other soon-to-be or new parents reduce stress and adjust to life with baby. \n  \nPregnancy and Parenting Support Groups\nOur support groups help parents navigate newborn care\, post-partum wellness\, sibling issues and partner relationship changes that can occur after baby arrives. \nWe also offer support groups for parents with babies in palliative care as well as those who have experienced miscarriage. These groups offer a compassionate environment for parents to receive and provide emotional support. \nOur new parent groups are often tailored to parents of newborns ages three weeks to four months and four months and older. DESCRIPTION:Postpartum Support International\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNEW SUPPORT GROUP!\n\n\n\nPostpartum Psychosis (PPP) is rare. It occurs in approximately 1 to 2 out of every 1\,000 deliveries.  After a PPP survivor’s symptoms have been stabilized\, peer support can be an important tool for recovery. Because PPP occurs less often than other perinatal mood disorders\, survivors can go their whole lives without meeting another PPP survivor.  In response\, PSI has created an online peer-to-peer support group for PPP survivors. YouTube was a little startup. Khan Academy consisted of Sal Khan sending videos to his cousin. To say a lot has changed is the understatement of the year. Homeschooling parents still have those age-old concerns: When will my child learn to read? Memorize multiplication tables? Empty the dishwasher without being asked? (You can always dream!) But modern homeschooling parents have lots more to grapple with: Does online education work? Is my kid spending too much time gaming? Did they just write that awesome essay by asking ChatGPT to do it? \nLet’s get together and shut out the noise: Let’s talk about what homeschooling is really about\, how modern technology and lifestyle offers new choices and challenges\, and what you hope to achieve in the end. Our homeschool elders did a lot right\, but they had a lot fewer choices. How do we shut out the FOMO and focus on what matters? How do we choose when the opportunities seem endless? How do we prepare our kids for whatever it is that they’ll find when they walk out the homeschool door and into their adult lives? \nSuki Wessling is a writer of widely published poetry\, fiction\, and non-fiction. She has worked as a college English teacher\, small press publisher\, graphic designer\, and journalist. Suki writes about gifted children\, education\, and homeschooling\, with an emphasis on serving the emotional and academic needs of unusual learners. Her books\, From School to Homeschool (Great Potential Press) and Exploring Homeschooling for your Gifted Learner (National Association for Gifted Children)\, introduce parents seeking alternative educational approaches for their gifted children to the basics of homeschooling.
