All proceeds benefit UCSC Art Department students: 80% of proceeds go to the individual artists; 20% goes to support the Print Studio (and thereby back to printmaking students). This once-a-year event presents an extraordinary opportunity for students to display and sell their work to the public. Students experience nature\, art\, and animals in a relaxed\, calming environment. \nFrom this\, Lisa (a Reading Specialist with 25+ years of experience) works with students to build and develop strong reading skills such as: phonemic awareness\, phonics\, fluency\, vocabulary development\, and reading comprehension. \nSince reading is a gateway to accessing information\, students will likely improve in all subject areas. \nIn addition\, their self esteem will begin to soar as they gain confidence with each reading session. \nLastly\, Ziggy’s adorable\, gentleness is just too cute for words. Students will fall in love with him at first sight. Sutter care centers have local support groups to help you and other soon-to-be or new parents reduce stress and adjust to life with baby. \n  \nPregnancy and Parenting Support Groups\nOur support groups help parents navigate newborn care\, post-partum wellness\, sibling issues and partner relationship changes that can occur after baby arrives. \nWe also offer support groups for parents with babies in palliative care as well as those who have experienced miscarriage. These groups offer a compassionate environment for parents to receive and provide emotional support. \nOur new parent groups are often tailored to parents of newborns ages three weeks to four months and four months and older.
