SUMMARY:Live Oak Farmers Market
DESCRIPTION:Live Oak Farmers Market\nSundays 9am – 1pm year round \nStarted in 2000\, Live Oak Farmers Market is a neighborhood market has grown to be a weekly event that is loved by the communities of Live Oak\, Pleasure Point and Capitola. A decade has past since this market became year round and here you will find an excellent selection of organic produce from local farms\, tree ripened fruits\, dried fruit and nuts\, fresh bread\, pastries\, seafood\, pasture-raised organic meats and more. The market is also the epicenter of the clean food movement\, showcasing amazing Sunday brunch offerings like traditional Michoacan Mexican dishes\, dumplings\, crepes and artisan hand pies. This is your Sunday destination. \n  \nMarket Match\nMarket Match offers farmers’ market customers a dollar-for-dollar match up to $10 on their CalFresh (food stamp) cards at the Live Oak Market. If a customer swipes their CalFresh card for seven dollars\, they get seven dollars in Market Match tokens for free. Swipe $10\, you get $10. The goal of this project is to encourage CalFresh (EBT/SNAP) recipients to take advantage of fresh\, locally-grown fruits and vegetables. By offering an incentive that lowers the price of fresh produce\, we are helping shoppers stretch their food dollars while keeping their families healthy. SCCFM will be offering the Market Match program for the 2020 season. Locate the information booth and the market manager to redeem EBT coins and to participate in the Market Match Program.

SUMMARY:Familypower: Online Safety for ages 9-14 with their adults
DESCRIPTION:Familypower: Online Safety for ages 9-14 with their adults\nSunday\, June 22\, 10 – 11am \nIn this program\, youth 9-14 side-by-side with their adults practice skills and strategies adapted for online situations so they can have more fun and fewer problems online. \n\n\n\nSee Program Description below or Register Now\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nProgram Description \nIn our Familypower Online Safety workshop\, youth 9-14 side-by-side with their adults practice skills and strategies adapted for online situations so they can have more fun and fewer problems online. \nTogether\, adults and youth practice ways to: \n\nMeet new people online more safely\nSpot possible problems before they grow\nDeal with harassment\, coercion\, bullying\, and other online aggression\nSet and respect boundaries with other online friends\, players\, and users\nCreate safety plans – and adapt them as young people grow\nStrengthen your ‘safety teamwork’ – so you can discuss and practice safety more effectively\, with less arguing and lecturing\n\nTo be safe online\, youth need caring adults involved in their online lives. Without adult guidance\, youth online are more vulnerable to abuse\, coercion\, bullying\, manipulation\, and other harm. This is true even for digital natives more skilled with technology than their adults. See: \n\nKidpower Strategies for Safety Online – and Everywhere Else\nDigital Citizenship & Safety Agreement Template\nPreparing Kids for Good Digital Citizenship\n\nYour US$45/family registration includes one-on-one email support with questions before & after the workshop and links to resources to help you & your family apply\, adapt\, and practice the skills. \nWorkshop Fee: $45/family (includes children and accompanying adults)\nPre-registration is required as there is limited space.\nThis workshop is geared toward families with kids ages 9-14. Children outside of this age range are welcome to attend and the content may not be as relevant for them. This workshop comes with a free digital copy of our Kidpower Youth Safety Comics in the Kidpower Online Learning Center. \n\n\n\n\nDonations over the amount of workshop fees are tax-deductible. We do not turn anyone away from our workshops for lack of money. Scholarship assistance is available. \nBecause practicing together greatly increases the ability to use the skills taught in real life\, we strongly recommend that you keep your video and microphone on and practice along with the instructor. \nUpon registering\, participants will receive a confirmation email with the meeting link. \nInstructor will stay up to 30 minutes after the end of the workshop to answer questions and practice skills. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister Now!

SUMMARY:Postpartum Support Group
DESCRIPTION:Postpartum Support International\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNEW SUPPORT GROUP!\n\n\n\nPostpartum Psychosis (PPP) is rare. It occurs in approximately 1 to 2 out of every 1\,000 deliveries.  After a PPP survivor’s symptoms have been stabilized\, peer support can be an important tool for recovery. Because PPP occurs less often than other perinatal mood disorders\, survivors can go their whole lives without meeting another PPP survivor.  In response\, PSI has created an online peer-to-peer support group for PPP survivors. This group is intended for those who are in recovery (no longer experiencing psychosis).   Whether your PPP experience was relatively recent or years ago\, you are welcome to attend our free\, online peer-to-peer support group.\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister here: https://www.postpartum.net/…/psi-online-support-meetings/\nFull Meeting Schedule

But when Odder comes face-to-face with a hungry great white shark\, her life takes a dramatic turn\, one that will challenge everything she believes about herself―and about the humans who hope to save her. \nKatherine Applegate’s Odder\, is inspired by the true story of a Monterey Bay Aquarium program that pairs orphaned otter pups with surrogate mothers. SUMMARY:Downtown Farmers Market 2022
DESCRIPTION:Downtown Farmers Market\nWednesdays\, May – Oct 1 – 6pm; Nov – April 1 – 5pm \nThe Downtown Santa Cruz Market runs year-round on Wednesdays\, 1-6pm May through October and 1-5pm November through April. Our largest and oldest market\, it is situated in the heart of Downtown Santa Cruz\, one block off of Pacific Avenue. Established in 1990\, many of the farms that sell here were and remain pillars of the organic and ecological farming movement. This is the place to eat with the seasons! The variety of fruits\, vegetables\, flowers\, pastured meats and other products is swoon worthy. \nThe Downtown Market also spotlights a large variety of up-and-coming\, unique cultural food businesses. This weekly spot may serve up the most diverse selection of ethnic foods in the county including momo\, naan and curry\, Japanese fermented misos\, Eritrean dishes\, crepes\, El Salvadorean pupusas\, traditional Italian cookies\, fish and chips and long-ferment fresh breads. Shopping at the Wednesday market is a wonderful way to support regional responsible farms and small local businesses. Fill your grocery bags! Then sit down for a delightful meal and rest your weary arms. \n
