SUMMARY:Live Oak Farmers Market
DESCRIPTION:Live Oak Farmers Market\nSundays 9am – 1pm year round \nStarted in 2000\, Live Oak Farmers Market is a neighborhood market has grown to be a weekly event that is loved by the communities of Live Oak\, Pleasure Point and Capitola. A decade has past since this market became year round and here you will find an excellent selection of organic produce from local farms\, tree ripened fruits\, dried fruit and nuts\, fresh bread\, pastries\, seafood\, pasture-raised organic meats and more. The market is also the epicenter of the clean food movement\, showcasing amazing Sunday brunch offerings like traditional Michoacan Mexican dishes\, dumplings\, crepes and artisan hand pies. This is your Sunday destination. \n  \nMarket Match\nMarket Match offers farmers’ market customers a dollar-for-dollar match up to $10 on their CalFresh (food stamp) cards at the Live Oak Market. If a customer swipes their CalFresh card for seven dollars\, they get seven dollars in Market Match tokens for free. Swipe $10\, you get $10. The goal of this project is to encourage CalFresh (EBT/SNAP) recipients to take advantage of fresh\, locally-grown fruits and vegetables. By offering an incentive that lowers the price of fresh produce\, we are helping shoppers stretch their food dollars while keeping their families healthy. SCCFM will be offering the Market Match program for the 2020 season. Locate the information booth and the market manager to redeem EBT coins and to participate in the Market Match Program.

SUMMARY:Santa Cruz Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream
DESCRIPTION:Santa Cruz Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream \nJuly 13 – August 31\, with Opening Night on July 18 \nSanta Cruz Shakespeare invites you to experience Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream\, under the trees and stars of the Audrey Stanley Grove in Santa Cruz’s DeLaveaga Park this summer. \nOne of Shakespeare’s most famous and beloved works\, Midsummer is a perfect evening of theatre\, filled with magic\, love\, wild laughter and…an ass. In the mystical forest of Arden\, the world is pulled apart and woven back together over the course of a single miraculous night. Fleeing lovers and earnest workingmen stumble into the magic of a fairy kingdom at war with itself. Hijinks and heartbreak ensue. Most famously\, the amateur actor Nick Bottom is transformed into an ass before becoming the lover of the Fairy Queen\, Titania. But by morning\, all is set aright\, and we return to Athens for a trio of marriages and an amateur performance for the ages. One of the funniest plays ever written\, Midsummer celebrates our deep need to gather together\, sacrifice and celebrate. \nTickets available for purchase starting May 1. More information at santacruzshakespeare.org/season-2025 \nSeasonal box office hours beginning May 1 are Tuesday through Friday from 12p.m. to 4p.m. Call 831-460-6399. \nAbout Santa Cruz Shakespeare \nFeaturing professional actors from around the country and inspired by deep local roots that go back more than 40 years\, Santa Cruz Shakespeare stages bold productions of the plays of Shakespeare and other great playwrights that stimulate audiences’ senses and spark their imagination. ShakesEDU\, a program of Santa Cruz Shakespeare\, provides students with opportunities to learn about theatre through after-school classes\, summer intensive\, traveling troupe and more. SUMMARY:Postpartum Support Group
DESCRIPTION:Postpartum Support International\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNEW SUPPORT GROUP!\n\n\n\nPostpartum Psychosis (PPP) is rare. It occurs in approximately 1 to 2 out of every 1\,000 deliveries.  After a PPP survivor’s symptoms have been stabilized\, peer support can be an important tool for recovery. Because PPP occurs less often than other perinatal mood disorders\, survivors can go their whole lives without meeting another PPP survivor.  In response\, PSI has created an online peer-to-peer support group for PPP survivors. This group is intended for those who are in recovery (no longer experiencing psychosis).   Whether your PPP experience was relatively recent or years ago\, you are welcome to attend our free\, online peer-to-peer support group.\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister here: https://www.postpartum.net/…/psi-online-support-meetings/\nFull Meeting Schedule

SUMMARY:Santa Cruz Shakespeare's Into the Woods
DESCRIPTION:Santa Cruz Shakespeare’s Into the Woods\nJuly 15 through September 7  \nTime choices: 2pm\, 7pm\, 8pm \nTickets and Times \nSanta Cruz Shakespeare invites you to experience Into the Woods\, under the trees and stars of the Audrey Stanley Grove in Santa Cruz’s DeLaveaga Park this summer. \nThe first summer musical produced by Santa Cruz Shakespeare and Shakespeare Santa Cruz in 32 years and a brilliant pairing with Midsummer\, Sondheim’s masterpiece sees another disparate group journeying into the forest\, pursuing a wide range of desires\, from a simple visit to grandmother’s house\, a decent price for a cow or the magical ingredients to cure a curse of childlessness. Woods honors the various fairy tales it is drawn from and turns them on their head. It subverts expectations\, surprising at every music-filled turn with pathos and humor. SCS’s season theme is drawn directly from the gorgeous Act II song of the same name\, “No One is Alone.” Woods is Sondheim’s incredible meditation on just that – messy\, painful or beautiful\, as it may be. \nInto the Woods runs July 15 through September 7\, with Opening Night on July 19: \nTickets available for purchase starting May 1. More information at santacruzshakespeare.org/season-2025 \nSeasonal box office hours are Tuesday through Friday from 12p.m. to 4p.m. beginning May 1.
