Are you?  Scotts Valley Haunted House is not recommended for children under 10 or those who might experience nightmares.  There have been no reported zombie attacks in the past nine months.  The ticketed tour itself is around 20 minutes\, but you will want to spend some time beforehand enjoying the festival and watching the Thriller dancers.  \n\n\n\nTours for families with young children (ages 2-9) available October 29-30: Family tours are scaled-down version intended for families with kids ages 2 to 9.  It is before dark\, and it replaces the scarier elements with trick-or-treating. \nTickets: \nTickets for regular tours are sold at the gate\, and the tours occur in the order in which the tickets were purchased.  Tickets for family tours are sold in advance and are time-specific. \nThere are special tours between 5pm and 7pm on October 29 and 30 that are intended for families with children ages 2 through 9. DESCRIPTION:Dungeons and Dragons\nSundays 1 – 3pm\, September 11 – December 4 \nAttention 12-16yr-olds — Adventure awaits! A friendly introduction to Dungeons & Dragons 5E for players of all experience levels\, led by an accomplished D&D Dungeon Master. Held every Sunday from 1pm – 3pm\, our Fall Campaign lasts from September 11th – December 4th for a total of 13 sessions. \nForm a party\, hunt for ancient treasures\, and use your wits\, magic\, or brute force to battle kobolds\, dragons\, and more. Dungeons & Dragons is a game of adventure\, imagination and near-limitless possibilities. This is a game in which we foster teamwork\, responsibility\, and friendships.  If you’ve been curious but unsure how to start\, it’s time to roll the dice and join this campaign.  All the necessary materials & manuals will be provided using the D&D Beyond web app.  Players are required to provide their own computers with internet access to the D&D Beyond website and capable of running Zoom. A personal or family email address is also required. \nBecause Dungeons & Dragons relies upon consistent player attendance\, please check your schedule to make sure you can attend the sessions before you sign up. We completely understand when things like dentist appointments and such crop up\, we know you have lives. \nParents: Please be prepared to briefly meet our volunteer who leads the program. This November\, forty professional artists will arrive in Capitola to paint the town…literally! \n\n\n\n\nThe City of Capitola Art & Cultural Commission is delighted to host the seventh annual Capitola Plein Air\, juried art competition\, exhibition\, and sale. It is a FREE event\, with hands-on art-making for all visitors\, live music\, and forty local and regional artists selling their works and competing for the top prize. \nDozens of professional artists will paint en plein air in varied mediums\, outdoors\, throughout Capitola\, at locations including New Brighton Beach\, Depot Hill\, the Esplanade\, and the Jewel Box.  Artists set up their easels on the wharf\, shore\, and streets of beautiful Capitola\, to paint live for four days. You’ll find hundreds of paintings on display\, for sale\, and entered into competition on Sunday\, November 6. You can take home a piece of Capitola culture\, vote for your favorites for the People’s Choice Award\, have a delicious meal from the food trucks\, or get creative and make some art yourself! \nThe Exhibition and Art Sale is on Sunday\, November 6th\, from 11:00AM—4:00PM\, at Jade Street Community Center(4400 Jade Street.)\, more than 100 framed paintings will be on display for the competition\, exhibition and sale. The public is invited to vote for the People’s Choice Award! \n\n\n\nMonday\, October 31 Artists arrive and check-in. Painting begins!
