SUMMARY:An intentional gathering designed to help process the challenges of life as a mom
DESCRIPTION:Mom Parts Salon: An intentional gathering designed to help process the challenges of life as a mom\nSaturday\, March 8\, 3 – 5pm \nHi Santa Cruz area moms! \nEnjoy a guided 5 step process to gain clarity\, self compassion and acceptance of all your “parts.” If you’ve seen the Pixar film Inside Out\, you’re acquainted with the idea of having multiple parts inside of you who feel and believe and react in wildly different ways. For moms\, this can often look like Rage\, Panic\, Resentment and Supermom parts. Motherhood is a rough gig and moms need more emotional support. \nWill you join me\, Jessica Tomich Sorci\, LMFT (specialist in IFS and motherhood) for an in-person Mom Parts Salon at Monarch Pilates on March 8th? \nWorking with our Mom Parts within a group setting is an incredible opportunity to learn about why you react the way you do and the wisdom of your system of parts. The 5-step process I created will help you deepen self-compassion and make sense of the parts of you that scare you – and the ones you don’t like – and the ones who are exhausted and ready to throw in the towel. There is hope. \nYou can stay completely private OR share aloud with the group – either way\, I’m certain you’ll gain new insights and maybe even make a friend.

DESCRIPTION:March is Hummingbird Month at the UCSC Arboretum & Botanical Garden\nDaily in March  \nThis time of year the Arboretum hosts both Anna’s and Allen’s hummingbirds\, the two most common species in Northern California. “The density of hummingbirds—the number per area in the Arboretum—is ridiculously high\,” says Bruce Lyon\, professor of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at UCSC. “You can watch them feeding on flowers\, you can watch their courtship\, you can watch them chasing different species.
