SUMMARY:Author Talk with Stephanie Buswell\, Local Baker
DESCRIPTION:Author Talk with Stephanie Buswell\nThursday\, January 23\, 6:15pm\n\nStephany’s story is one of Triumph over adversity. As an only child of two alcoholic parents\, she had no one to confide in or help her. She was told time and time again she would amount to nothing. So she found another family\, the hippies. They believed they could change the world and as the Vietnam war raged she did too\, tripping on LSD and smoking pot. Then her parents died and she was left an orphan. But the one thing she had going for her was a huge determination to prove people wrong about her. She could amount to something and baking was her way in! \nStephany Buswell is now a retired pastry chef instructor. She worked in the baking industry for many years. Mostly at local places like the Staff of Life Bakery\, Gayles Bakery\, her own place Stephany’s Desserts and the Buttery before she landed a job teaching at Cabrillo College Culinary Arts Department and the International Culinary Center. \nHer stories will reflect the time she learned about her craft at these local institutions.

The variety of fruits\, vegetables\, flowers\, pastured meats and other products is swoon worthy. \nThe Downtown Market also spotlights a large variety of up-and-coming\, unique cultural food businesses. This weekly spot may serve up the most diverse selection of ethnic foods in the county including momo\, naan and curry\, Japanese fermented misos\, Eritrean dishes\, crepes\, El Salvadorean pupusas\, traditional Italian cookies\, fish and chips and long-ferment fresh breads. Shopping at the Wednesday market is a wonderful way to support regional responsible farms and small local businesses. Fill your grocery bags! SUMMARY:Postpartum Support Group
DESCRIPTION:Postpartum Support International\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNEW SUPPORT GROUP!\n\n\n\nPostpartum Psychosis (PPP) is rare. It occurs in approximately 1 to 2 out of every 1\,000 deliveries.  After a PPP survivor’s symptoms have been stabilized\, peer support can be an important tool for recovery. Because PPP occurs less often than other perinatal mood disorders\, survivors can go their whole lives without meeting another PPP survivor.  In response\, PSI has created an online peer-to-peer support group for PPP survivors. This group is intended for those who are in recovery (no longer experiencing psychosis).   Whether your PPP experience was relatively recent or years ago\, you are welcome to attend our free\, online peer-to-peer support group.\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister here: https://www.postpartum.net/…/psi-online-support-meetings/\nFull Meeting Schedule
