Our group is here to provide support and connection to parents as we know losing a baby can be an isolating and devastating experience. The first ~30 minutes is providing information\, education\, and establishing group guidelines. The next ~60 minutes is “talk time\,” in which group members share and talk with each other. Sowing Seeds: Filipino American Stories from the Pajaro Valley will run from April 12 through August 4 at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History in downtown Santa Cruz.\n\n\nSowing Seeds: Filipino American Stories from the Pajaro Valley explores Filipino labor and migration to the Pajaro Valley from the 1930s to the present. The exhibition brings together oral history\, archival materials\, and contemporary works of art to feature multidimensional narratives across four themes: labor\, gender\, conflict\, and memory. Sowing Seeds celebrates the perseverance of a Filipino American community to transform the Pajaro Valley into a home in the face of racism and exclusion.
