Throughout the day\, we will have hands-on activities\, live music\, and the powerful presence of community. \nExplore the MAH to view beautifully crafted altars known as altares\, or ofrendas\, created by community organizations. \nPerformances all day! \nVideo Storytelling: Honrando Mis Ancestros y Comunidad\nLearn about Día de los Muertos from our community partners and leaders of Senderos. Hear the story of Día de los Muertos in our community and the importance of honoring this beautiful celebration\, together. \nWatch the video here!\n \nWould you like to volunteer at this event?  Volunteer hours: 10-1pm\, 1-3pm\, 3-5pm\nJoin us as we welcome and greet people attending Día de los Muertos at the MAH. Students experience nature\, art\, and animals in a relaxed\, calming environment. \nFrom this\, Lisa (a Reading Specialist with 25+ years of experience) works with students to build and develop strong reading skills such as: phonemic awareness\, phonics\, fluency\, vocabulary development\, and reading comprehension. \nSince reading is a gateway to accessing information\, students will likely improve in all subject areas. \nIn addition\, their self esteem will begin to soar as they gain confidence with each reading session. \nLastly\, Ziggy’s adorable\, gentleness is just too cute for words. Students will fall in love with him at first sight.
