A full choir sets the scene as the bell-ringer\, Quasimodo\, observes all of Paris reveling in the Feast of Fools. Convinced by his uncle and caretaker that he must stay hidden because of his physical appearance\, Quasimodo longs to experience life out in the world. Defying his uncle\, the archdeacon Dom Claude Frollo\, he escapes for the day and joins the boisterous crowd\, only to be treated cruelly by all but the compassionate and brave Romani dancer\, Esmeralda. Quasimodo isn’t the only one captivated by her free spirit though – Captain Phoebus\, fresh from the battlefront and looking to forget the horrors of war — is equally enthralled by Esmeralda. These three characters\, each outcasts in their own way\, are thrust into turmoil when Frollo embarks on a mission to destroy the Roma people. As Frollo’s anger rages higher and pushes events toward fiery consequences\, Quasimodo\, Esmeralda\, and Phoebus must shatter the confines society has trapped them in to save each other. A sweeping score and powerful story make “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” an instant classic.

DESCRIPTION:Back to School Bash\n\nTuesday\, July 25\, 2 – 6pm\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us for a Back to School Bash at El Mercado Farmers’ Market on Tuesday\, July 25th\, from 2-6 PM at Ramsay Park.\n\n\n\nBackpack & School Supply Giveaway: We are giving away 160 backpacks filled with school supplies.\n\n\n\nThis is a first-come\, first-serve event\, so make sure to get there early! Youth must be present to receive a backpack\, however\, if your child cannot attend\, adults are welcome to present a valid student ID.\n\n\n\nIn addition\, Live Like Coco will be on-site handing out FREE books for all.  The Watsonville Public Library‘s BiblioVan will also be present along with several other community and school-focused organizations.\n\n\n\nThis is a great opportunity to not only prepare for the school year but also to connect with and learn about resources in your community!\n\n\n\nAdmission is FREE!
