SUMMARY:Postpartum Support Group
DESCRIPTION:Postpartum Support International\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNEW SUPPORT GROUP!\n\n\n\nPostpartum Psychosis (PPP) is rare. It occurs in approximately 1 to 2 out of every 1\,000 deliveries.  After a PPP survivor’s symptoms have been stabilized\, peer support can be an important tool for recovery. Because PPP occurs less often than other perinatal mood disorders\, survivors can go their whole lives without meeting another PPP survivor.  In response\, PSI has created an online peer-to-peer support group for PPP survivors. This group is intended for those who are in recovery (no longer experiencing psychosis).   Whether your PPP experience was relatively recent or years ago\, you are welcome to attend our free\, online peer-to-peer support group.\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister here: https://www.postpartum.net/…/psi-online-support-meetings/\nFull Meeting Schedule

DESCRIPTION:The Hunchback Of Notre Dame\nThursdays – Saturdays\, 7:30pm\, July 6 – 8 and 14 – 15 and 20-22 and 27-29;   2pm Sunday\, July 9\, 16\, 23 & 30 \nA sweeping score and powerful story! Audiences will be swept away by the magic of this truly unforgettable musical. \nThe musical begins as the bells of Notre Dame sound through the famed cathedral in fifteenth-century Paris. A full choir sets the scene as the bell-ringer\, Quasimodo\, observes all of Paris reveling in the Feast of Fools. Convinced by his uncle and caretaker that he must stay hidden because of his physical appearance\, Quasimodo longs to experience life out in the world. Defying his uncle\, the archdeacon Dom Claude Frollo\, he escapes for the day and joins the boisterous crowd\, only to be treated cruelly by all but the compassionate and brave Romani dancer\, Esmeralda. Quasimodo isn’t the only one captivated by her free spirit though – Captain Phoebus\, fresh from the battlefront and looking to forget the horrors of war — is equally enthralled by Esmeralda. These three characters\, each outcasts in their own way\, are thrust into turmoil when Frollo embarks on a mission to destroy the Roma people. As Frollo’s anger rages higher and pushes events toward fiery consequences\, Quasimodo\, Esmeralda\, and Phoebus must shatter the confines society has trapped them in to save each other. A sweeping score and powerful story make “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” an instant classic.

SUMMARY:Santa Cruz Shakespeare King Lear
DESCRIPTION:Santa Cruz Shakespeare King Lear\nJuly 26 – August 27 \nJoin Santa Cruz Shakespeare in its beautiful outdoor theater under the trees in The Audrey Stanley Grove at DeLaveaga Park in Santa Cruz for its 2023 Summer Festival and its 10th anniversary of thrilling and imaginative theater. \nThis year’s production of King Lear will explore how the craving for power can shatter both kingdoms and families. King Lear paints a chilling picture of the plight of humanity in an indifferent universe and charts a monarch’s disturbing descent into madness. Featuring some of the most powerful and harrowing verse that Shakespeare wrote at the height of his powers\, this powerful tale will star former Shakespeare Santa Cruz artistic director and Royal Shakespeare Company actor Paul Whitworth in a not-to-be-missed tour de force performance. \nPerformances of Shakespeare’s King Lear\, directed by Paul Mullins\, will take place from July through August. Other productions in Santa Cruz Shakespeare’s 2023 Summer Festival include Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew\, and The Book of Will by Lauren Gunderson. Learn more at santacruzshakespeare.org. \nTickets on Sale May 1\, 2023. Don’t miss what is sure to be a memorable and delightful experience in one of Santa Cruz’s most majestic settings!
