DESCRIPTION:Race Thru the Redwoods\nSunday\, August 20\, Kids Race starts at 8:10 am\, 10K Race starts at 8:30 am \nRace Thru the Redwoods is a 10K race in Felton\, CA\, in Roaring Camp Railroad and Henry Cowell Redwoods. \nThe Race Thru The Redwoods starts and finishes at Roaring Camp Railroads in Felton\, California. The majority of the 10K race takes place under the redwoods in Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park. The first mile is on paved or dirt roads\, followed by scenic trails under redwoods\, through meadows\, and alongside the San Lorenzo River. The moderate to challenging course rises approximately 300 feet in elevation between mile 2.5 and mile 3.5. The return is downhill on a mixture of dirt trails and paved roads\, and finishes at the starting line in Roaring Camp.
