Even though the Emancipation Proclamation was made effective 1863\, there was difficulty getting it implemented in places that were still under Confederate control.  When some 200 Union troops came to Galveston Bay\, Texas\, and announced that the 250\,000 enslaved blacks were liberated by executive decree. No experience needed\, just your creativity!\n\nLet the adventure begin!\n\nNo prior experience is necessary. This program is for adults 18+. \nWhat is Dungeons and Dragons?  \nD&D is one of many tabletop role-playing games\, in which players create and control fictional characters within a shared imaginary world. A Game Master guides the story and sets the scene\, while the players make decisions for their characters\, rolling dice to determine outcomes. TTRPGs encourage creativity\, teamwork\, and storytelling as players collaborate to overcome challenges and complete quests. \nModern D&D has veered away from the combat-heavy game it used to be.
