DESCRIPTION:Home Garden Tour\nSaturday\, June 3\, 12 – 4:30pm \nThe Home Garden Tour will showcase five homes and three gardens throughout Santa Cruz County where guests can view some of the region’s most exquisite architecture\, interior design\, and landscaping. Ticket holders will begin their journey in the Santa Cruz neighborhood of Pasatiempo\, where they will receive a free copy of the Home & Garden Tour magazine\, and have the opportunity to indulge in a poolside champagne luncheon for $25. Guests can also visit Shops at the Home Tour to discover handcrafted items by local artists and merchants. \nProperties featured include the original Clubhouse at Pasatiempo\, a historic landmark designed by Clarence Tantau in 1930. Open for tours exclusively for this event\, this simplified Monterey-style\, two-story house is distinguished by its grand style in the California tradition\, and showcases many fine architectural details including a finely proportioned two story verandah on the south side of the home. Surrounding the home are a guest house and extensive gardens originally designed by nationally recognized Landscape Architect\, Thomas Church. Also showcased in this year’s event are: a decommissioned church that now serves as a family home in westside Santa Cruz\, a modern home with dramatic curves and ocean views in Aptos\, a classic home with an ADU and stunning views near UC Santa Cruz\, and a Pasatiempo home with its own fully stocked whiskey bar. Gardens include the ultimate rose garden in Larkin Valley\, a stunning designer garden on 16th Avenue\, and an award winning waterfall garden in Felton. \nAll proceeds from the Home & Garden Tour benefit the Santa Cruz Symphony\, and support music education for more than 6\,000 students in schools throughout Santa Cruz County.

This is your Sunday destination. \n  \nMarket Match\nMarket Match offers farmers’ market customers a dollar-for-dollar match up to $10 on their CalFresh (food stamp) cards at the Live Oak Market. If a customer swipes their CalFresh card for seven dollars\, they get seven dollars in Market Match tokens for free. Swipe $10\, you get $10. The goal of this project is to encourage CalFresh (EBT/SNAP) recipients to take advantage of fresh\, locally-grown fruits and vegetables. By offering an incentive that lowers the price of fresh produce\, we are helping shoppers stretch their food dollars while keeping their families healthy. On Sunday\, March 7th\, the monthly “Wharf Walks – Walking Tours at Monterey’s Old Fisherman’s Wharf that are held on the first Sunday of every month from 10:00 AM – Noon\, continues each month. \nTim will be wearing a mask and limiting the group size who will also be required to wear masks. He is also available on other days to conduct small tours. \nTours meet at the head of Old Fisherman’s Wharf(near the pink “Harbor House” store\, #1 Old Fisherman’s Wharf\, Monterey.
