Promoting Animal Welfare with Students

Junior PAWS Tier 2 is for students 7-9 years old. The program builds upon the children’s knowledge and skills from PAWS Tier 1. It runs for three weeks, develops the children’s awareness of issues in animal welfare and introduces them to the Five Freedoms that animals need for a happy and healthy existence. They listen to stories, play games and write letters. Every week students get to play with and give our shelter animals love and care – all while they develop calm and trusting relationships with them.
