“Skate under the stars and palm trees in Downtown San Jose!

“Now in its 25th year, the holiday downtown San Jose ice rink has been one of the finest seasonal displays in California. Skaters and spectators alike come to celebrate the holidays and make lasting memories in the only ice rink in the world surrounded by 32 palm trees – affectionately known as the Circle of Palms.

“Skates will swoosh, people will glide, and lights will twinkle again in downtown San Jose, all thanks to Kristi Yamaguchi Downtown Ice in San Jose presented by First Tech Federal Credit Union and Alaska Airlines.

“A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Kristi Yamaguchi’s Always Dream, which serves underserved children and their families with early childhood literacy programs, including the organization’s Always Reading program.

“Located at 120 S. Market St., the rink opens at 10 a.m. Friday, November 19 and operates daily through January 9. It’s easy to find. Just go to the San Jose Museum of Art and turn around. The annual festive San Jose ice rink is right in front of the museum. The admission fee is $19 and includes skate rental.

“The official Opening Celebration is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Monday, November 22.

“All tickets are being sold online only at www.downtownicesj.com to minimize contact between workers and attendees. Here, you can read and download the rink’s COVID-19 protocols.”

The admission fee is $19 and includes skate rental.
