This event is for: Educators, Foster Youth, Students/Families Experiencing Homelessness,
Future Teachers & Social Workers, Higher Education, Child Welfare, Probation, Courts, CASA, Caregivers, Mental Health Agencies, and Community Based Organizations.
Our opening session will feature young people who will inspire you to gain new insight and learn best practices when working with students in foster care, or students experiencing homelessness.
There are a variety of high-quality and informative workshop topics for you to choose from. An exciting addition to this year’s event will be the premiere of the independent film, ๐๐๐๐ง๐ ๐ฟ๐ค ๐๐ ๐ฝ๐๐ก๐ค๐ฃ๐? an inspirational film about determination through the stories of those who have experienced being in foster care, those who have provided for a foster child, and those who have supported them along the way. It also touches on homelessness and the increased risk of being a victim of human trafficking. More details about the film and the workshops are listed on the registration website.
Equity = the quality of being fair and impartial
Equality: What’s the Difference? Equality means each individual or group of people is given the same resources or opportunities. … Equity recognizes that each person has different circumstances and allocates the exact resources and opportunities needed to reach an equal outcome.
